Hi Carole, yes Melbourne is lucky to have great street art, this was all down just one street! There are tours and everything to point out the best pieces. Maybe you should become a street artist and get out there with some great ideas?!! :)
I would but the city I live in has paid staff to go out and clean off the "graffiti" and hunt down the artists! They seem quite determined and vicious. I'm going to leave it to the younger ones.....maybe I could give them some painting lessons though!
I am an artist/ printmaker who has a bit of an obsession with birds. I love drawing and try to show as many bits and piece from my sketchbooks here in my blog, as well as occasional printmaking 'how tos' and projects I'm working on.
I am originally from Northern Ireland but am now living in Australia about an hour north of Melbourne in the bush.

Thanks for posting such beautiful street art. On my walk today all I saw was tagging and no art on the walls and fences. :(

I think that would be a great idea Carole, get the taggers painting gorgeous murals and then the council wont get rid of it!
