Jeremy and I set off today on our motorbike (Norman) for our first day of honeymoon. We've arrived at wye river and it's just lovely. Weather a bit cold but I don't think I should Complain since as we move north into the Australian desert I'll be missing the cool air of the great ocean road!
I've been keeping a tally today of all the birds I've seen, it's quite extensive!
White face heron
Wood ducks and ducklings
Galah
Grey falcon
Ibis
Magpie
Mud lark
Egret
Welcome swallow
Water hen
Sulphur crested cockatoo
Wattlebird
pied currawong
Pied cormorant
new holland honeyeater
Rosella
Plover
Australian crow
Red browed finch
Kookaburra
King parrot
Superb fairy wren
Black bird
Sparrow
Fly catcher
Black cockatoo
And of course I've been drawing. I think this trip will be as much a sketching/ bird watching trip as it is a honeymoon!
As I write rosellas and king parrots are in the empty neighbouring camp spots, a just heard the laugh of a kookaburra and the constant trickle of the stream in front of our tent. Ah the wonders of the iPhone!
To read more about our trip you can see www.motormoon.blogspot.com. I'll keep putting my drawings up here though and a few photos.

Free birds!! Beautiful!!
birdeys fly free!!! thatt's right, they can't live in captivity, set them free
that's right!! a cage means a DEATH for any bird. I'd even say for every of them. let them be free
